Three prints of original Carole Lombard negatives, such as the one above, are being offered at eBay; the reproductions themselves are between 30 and 40 years old, and in good condition.

OK, most Lombard fans know that shot is from her breakthrough film, “Twentieth Century”…but in which movie did Carole wear the gown seen in these two pics below?

The answer? Another Columbia production, 1933’s “Brief Moment,” and we have proof:

In fact, as part of advertising for the film, Columbia turned the gown red:

All three pics sell for $9.99 under eBay’s “buy it now” policy. The one from “Twentieth Century” is at; the top “Brief Moment” image can be found at; and check out the other “Brief Moment” portrait at

And if you’re a fan of “Brief Moment,” another eBay seller has this image available, with Lombard again in that gown:

The photo is listed in very good condition; while there are small tears at the top, they don’t reach the actual picture and won’t affect framing.

Unlike the others shown here, this is being auctioned, not sold. Bidding opens at $12, with bids scheduled to end at 7 p.m. (Eastern) Thursday. To bid or find out more, visit×10-Carole-Lombard-/321266750281?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4accfd9349.
